3 awards for Schöck products: Gold for Isokorb® in the category “Balconies/Loggias/Terraces” and for Combar® in the category “Best Innovation Structure”, Silver for Tronsole® in the category “Sound Insulation”.
Schöck applications once again scored highly in the largest nationwide industry survey for architects by Heinze and the evaluation by a top-class jury of architects. We can celebrate the Architects’ Darling award: Gold for the Tronsole® impact sound insulation system in the “Stairs” category.
Schöck building material applications were once again able to score points in the nation's largest industry survey for architects conducted by Heinze and in the assessment of a jury of expert architects. We are proud to share that we received a total of three Architects' Darling awards: Gold went to the load-bearing Schöck Isokorb® thermal insulation element in the "Balconies/Loggias/Terraces" category, the Tronsole® impact noise protection system received silver in the "Soundproofing" category, and Sconnex®, the new product family for the thermal separation of walls and columns, again won silver in recognition of being the "best product innovation (body shell)".
Schöck Bauteile GmbH has received its second “Top 100” seal of approval in 2021 (after its first such award in 2006), making it one of the top innovators in the German medium-sized company segment. This now makes Schöck a member of the “Club of Excellence,” which is where the German innovation elite gathers. The Vienna-based leading innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team compiled the innovation rating of the participants on behalf of compamedia, which organizes the TOP 100 innovation competition. The rating was based on 120 criteria taken from five categories.
The German Design Council, established by the German Bundestag and funded by donations from German industry, presents the German Innovation Award once a year in recognition of products and solutions across all sectors that set themselves apart from previous solutions primarily in terms of their user focus and added value. The Isolink® Type F for rear-ventilated curtain walls is one of the winners in the "Building & Elements" category. Its innovative performance was rated as "outstanding."
In the largest nationwide industry survey by Heinze, over 2,000 architects and planners chose the Schöck Tronsole® as their favorite product in the "Stairs" category. After receiving silver in 2016, Tronsole® now was recognized with gold. In addition to factors such as product quality and value for money, the focus this year was also on emotional criteria, such as personal advice, sustainability and brand trust.
Schöck was recognized as the Architects‘ Darling for 2019. This was the result of the largest nationwide industry survey of architects and planners. In the "Balconies, Loggias, Terraces" category, Schöck Isokorb® won the Phoenix, the coveted gold trophy. The other awards were: Schöck Isolink® received silver in the "Fastening Technology" category and Schöck Isolink® Type TA-S won the bronze jury award for the "Best Product Innovation for Shell Construction".
The Schöck brand was awarded one gold and two silver trophies in the Architects' Darling 2017 contest. The surveyed architects made their choice: In the "Balconies/Loggias/Terraces" product category, Schöck Isokorb® turned out to be the preferred manufacturer brand, taking first place. The newly developed Schöck Isokorb® CXT (previously Schöck Isokorb® XT-Combar) with glass fiber reinforcement was awarded silver in the "Innovation Shell Construction” jury category. Schöck came away with another silver trophy in the "Fastening Technology" category for its Schöck Isolink® product (previously Schöck thermal anchor).
Schöck was nominated by the German Brand Institute and received the German Brand Award in the "Building & Elements" category at the end of June 2017, coming away with the Special Mention title. This award honors the Schöck brand’s commitment to competitiveness.
In the "Germany's Customer Champions 2017” nationwide contest, Schöck took second place in the B2B company category consisting of 500 to 4,999 employees. The result was based on a qualitative customer survey that gathered 1,428 customer ratings for this category. The customer relationship quality was evaluated.
The BAKA Awards seek to recognize innovations and ideas for energy efficiency and sustainability in both old and new buildings. The aim of the contest is to find sustainable solutions to challenges in old and new buildings and ensure the future viability of all buildings. Isokorb® RT (previously Isokorb® R) was awarded first prize as a forward-looking product idea specifically for use in “building renovating.” The international competition was organized by BAKA Bundesverband Altbauerneuerung e.V., the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Construction, and Nuclear Safety and the Munich Trade Fair Center. The inaugural competition was held on January 16, 2017 by the Federal Minister for Building, Dr. Barbara Hendricks, at the BAU Trade Fair in Munich. The results of the contest are announced every two years at BAU. After winning the award in 2009, we decided to participate again in 2017.
Schöck was awarded silver in the "Stairs" product category of the "Architects' Darling®" award. The brand is therefore one of the preferred manufacturer brands for architects in this product area. Schöck’s winning entry in the contest is the result of a representative survey conducted by the information service provider Heinze of around 1,600 architects. This is Germany's largest survey of architects, in which 200 brands in 23 categories were put to the test.
Schöck was named "Architect's Darling" in Gold in the category of "Balconies and terraces". This award is presented every year by construction network specialists Heinze. Winners of the coveted award were determined through a nationwide survey of architects in 2015 – chosen by the key decision makers in construction. A total of around 1,800 architects and planners were interviewed on more than 200 manufacturers and brands in the construction industry.
Schöck adopts an overall approach to environmental protection, with an environmental strategy aimed at reducing emissions, waste and wastewater, and specific efforts to promote environmentally conscious behaviour among the staff. Environmental aspects – the conscious use of materials, consumables and production processes – are considered as early as the product development phase. The company never loses sight of the issue of environmental compatibility throughout a product's entire life cycle, right up to and including the use of the products. The environment management system at Schöck has been certified in accordance with ISO 14001.
The company’s European ISO 9001 certification confirms the high quality of Schöck’s products and services. The complete, company-wide structure and process organization was documented and checked in order to achieve high-quality products, processes and services. All processes should be reproducible, traceable and measurable. The primary goal of verifying all the processes internally and externally was to significantly increase the satisfaction of customers, partners and employees.
The aim of ISO 50001 is to continuously improve the energy footprint of companies and organisations, to optimise their energy efficiency and energy utilisation, and to reduce costs. Schöck has developed an environmental strategy that applies throughout the group and which describes the company's commitment to responsible energy management and to optimising the energy efficiency of the company's plants and systems. An energy management system has been put in place and certified in accordance with ISO 50001.
Schöck makes targeted investments in occupational health and safety. Avoiding workplace injuries and illnesses is accorded top priority. The implemented occupational health and safety management system (AMS) serves to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses and to generally protect the health of employees in the workplace. Various guidelines and standards contain specifications and have been certified in accordance with BS OHSAS 18001.
The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building, and Nuclear Safety (BMUB), the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), and the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) honor companies in the German economy that play a pioneering role in agreeing to protect the environment and adopt energy efficiency guidelines in their operations. After the completion of an intensive scientific review and the positive recommendation of the advisory board, Schöck can now officially call itself a "company committed to climate protection."
A building’s sustainability can be assessed by calculating the environmental performance for each component. These environmental product declarations (EPDs) provide the data groundwork for an environmental building assessment. The EPD contains data about the environmental performance of a building product, from manufacturing to disposal. Schöck makes various EPDs available to planners, architects and builders. They are issued by the Institut Bauen und Umwelt e. V. (IBU).
